According to him, there are currently 15 sectoral trade unions operating in the Vitebsk region, with a membership of over 381,000 people, or almost 83% of those employed in the economy:
– Over the year, we have increased by 167 primary trade union organisations. In total, 3,403 primary trade union organisations are currently functioning in the region.
Yury Derkach also emphasised that the trade unions fully share the system of views on the development of the state and our society:
– We are vitally interested in preserving the constitutional order, in the sovereignty and independence of our state; we stand for unity, stability, peace, and creation. Our work, the social support for employees of enterprises under sanctions, and our statutory activities are a worthy response to unfriendly, politicised decisions concerning the Republic of Belarus.
The state has ensured peace, a fair contract between the state and society, with the working person at the centre. And how quickly our lives will improve depends on each of us, added Yury Derkach.
