Gennady Ankudovich, a combine operator at Novosyolki-Luchay OJSC in Postavy District, was the first in the Vitebsk region to thresh one thousand tons of grain. He was congratulated on his success by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Sergey Chepik, the Chairperson of the Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers Tatyana Dikanova, the Chairpersons of the District Trade Union Association and the District Committee of the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers Inna Duleckaya and Vasily Kotovich, and the Director of OJSC Yuri Shimchik. The leaders of the region and the district wished the leading machine operator new labor achievements and, of course, were interested in how he managed to achieve such a high threshing yield. After all, all ten of his comrades are also experienced combine operators, and it is probably not easy to surpass them.
- The machinery is good, the yield is also good, the rest depends on one's own ability to organize one's work, - noted Gennady Ankudovich.
Gennady Ankudovich is not a native of Postavy. He moved to the district about five years ago. He started working at the leading farm, Novosyolki-Luchay OJSC, and from the first day showed that a professional had joined the team. No matter which section he was assigned to, he always performed his work excellently. It is not surprising that last year he was entrusted with the latest combine model, KZS-2124. There are still few such machines in the republic, packed with electronics and equipped with a 9-meter header.
In his first year working with this machine, Gennady showed a high result – he was the second thousand-ton thresher of grain in the region and the first two-thousand-ton thresher. And this year, he was the first to thresh one thousand tons of grain. He harvested winter barley, winter rapeseed, and is now threshing winter wheat fields. On average across the farm, as of July 22, this crop yielded almost 33 centners of grain per hectare. But the field where the combine operator was congratulated for his high threshing yield also pleased the farmer. On this 50-hectare plot, winter wheat yielded 40 centners per round. Thus, the field thanked the agronomist for his care for it and the cultivated crops.
