Commission for Combating Corruption

At various stages of social development, corruption stands out as one of the most detrimental phenomena. The abuse of power for personal gain has accompanied humanity since ancient times. Corrupt offences cause colossal material damage to modern states. In the Republic of Belarus, mechanisms for state anti-corruption policy have been established and practically implemented, proving their effectiveness.

In Belarusian legislation, corruption is defined as the intentional use of an official position for the unlawful acquisition of property or other benefits, as well as the bribery of an official or a person equated to them. "Corrupt means" reduce the state's ability to solve pressing social problems of the population.
