In accordance with the Order of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated March 14, 2022, No. 55r, a month-long campaign is underway in the region to ensure safe working conditions during the preparation and conduct of spring field work.

During the first week (from March 28 to April 4, 2022), mobile groups comprising specialists from executive committees, representatives of supervisory and control bodies, the center for hygiene, epidemiology, and public health, trade unions, the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Department of Internal Affairs inspected 12 organizations and 34 facilities of the agro-industrial complex, and 72 workplaces. A total of 149 violations of current labor safety legislation were identified.

Through the adoption of organizational and disciplinary measures, 30 percent of the violations were immediately rectified as they did not require material expenditure.

In several organizations, non-compliance was found regarding the organization, provision, and use of personal protective equipment. First-aid kits were not present in all production areas, or their contents were incomplete (expired).

In farms, makeshift supports (wooden blocks, construction blocks, bricks, etc.) were used for repairing and storing machinery. During welding operations, secondary connection cables with damaged insulation were employed.

Work to clear auxiliary premises of combustible production waste has not been organized. Buildings and structures are not equipped with primary fire-fighting equipment; fire shields with manual firefighting tools are absent.

Certain violations related to the maintenance of organization territories and the storage of material assets (materials, spare parts) were identified.

As a result of the mobile groups' work, 17 pieces of equipment had their operation suspended, the production of 6 types of work was prohibited, and 10 workers were removed from work.

During the month-long campaign, 28 additional briefings were conducted.

The work on conducting preventive measures aimed at preventing offenses by all entities during the preparation and conduct of spring field work will be continued.
