Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection: the rate of industrial injuries and fatalities in the Vitebsk region has decreased by 7 percent

A Clear System for Organising and Conducting Occupational Safety and Health Measures in the Vitebsk Region Contributes to Reducing Injury and Fatality Rates

Thanks to the joint efforts undertaken, a positive result in reducing occupational injuries in organisations of the Vitebsk region was achieved in 2023. The total number of people injured at work decreased by 7 percent.

The preventive measures implemented have prevented an increase in cases of severe and fatal injuries.

A series of organisational and practical measures contributed to a 20 percent reduction in occupational injuries within organisations of communal ownership.

The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has approved a set of measures to strengthen production and technological, executive, and labour discipline, and the safety of production activities in organisations of the Vitebsk region for 2024. A number of practical measures have also been defined, aimed at further consolidating the positive trend of eliminating all instances of occupational injury and citizen fatalities from external controllable causes.
