On additional occupational safety measures during the harvesting campaign
From July 24 to August 31, a month-long campaign to ensure safety during the grain crop harvesting campaign is being held in the Vitebsk region.
The work on harvesting grain crops is carried out within tight deadlines and with maximum involvement of machinery and personnel. An insufficient level of control over compliance with occupational safety and work safety requirements, and labor discipline creates prerequisites for industrial injuries.
In practice, cases of failure by managers, specialists, and employees to fulfill their established occupational safety duties, as well as their non-compliance with technical and technological regulations when operating vehicles, machines, mechanisms, and equipment, are not uncommon. Employees often ignore the requirements of occupational safety instructions, labor, and production discipline.
To achieve the greatest effectiveness of raid activities, visits to agricultural organizations will be organized jointly with state labor inspectors, representatives of state fire supervision bodies, the sanitary and epidemiological service, and other stakeholders concerned with ensuring unconditional compliance with legislation in the field of safe labor.
To avoid accidents and prevent extraordinary emergency situations during the harvesting campaign in the Vitebsk region, fields and plots, agricultural facilities, and sites at all agro-industrial complex enterprises involved in the harvesting campaign will be inspected during raid activities.
