Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection: A campaign to provide financial assistance for children's back-to-school preparations has been launched in the Vitebsk region.

A campaign to provide financial assistance for children’s preparation for the new academic year has been launched in the region. Clause 11 of Subprogramme 1 "Family and Childhood" of the State Programme "People's Health and Demographic Security" for 2021-2025, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of January 19, 2021, No. 28 "On the State Programme 'People's Health and Demographic Security' for 2021-2025", provides for a one-time financial assistance payment for the academic year to families raising three or more children, for each student attending general secondary and special education institutions (at the level of general secondary education) in the Republic of Belarus, in the amount of 30 percent of the subsistence minimum budget effective as of August 1 of the calendar year, funded by the local budget.

State support will also be provided to low-income families, families with children with disabilities or parents with disabilities by attracting additional funds (funds from enterprises and organisations, sponsorship, state targeted social assistance, financial aid from state social insurance funds, funds from charitable foundations and public organisations).
