The registered unemployment rate as of 1 May 2021 was 0.3 percent and has not changed compared to 1 May 2020.
As of 1 May 2021, employers reported 7770 vacancies, which is 27.4% more than on 1 May 2020 (6097). The demand for workers in blue-collar occupations accounted for 63.7% of the total number of vacancies (on 1 May 2020 – 62.2%).
Currently, there are 5 vacancies per unemployed person.
In January-April 2021, 6012 people sought assistance in finding employment, of whom 3528 people were registered as unemployed.
Within the framework of the State Programme "Labour Market and Employment Promotion" for 2021-2025, in January-April 2021:
• 4157 people were employed in permanent jobs,
• 188 people were directed for training in occupations in demand on the labour market,
• 1033 people participated in paid public works,
• 43 people received subsidies to start entrepreneurial activities,
• 10 families of unemployed people were relocated to new places of residence and work.
