The Vitebsk Regional Property Committee, jointly with district executive committees, has identified a list of properties within the region that can be offered to investors free of charge for the implementation of investment projects, or by auction sale with an initial price set at one basic unit.

The auction sale for a basic unit is the most sought-after method of bringing unused property into economic circulation – this is how two-thirds of the properties sold at auction found new owners in 2022.

Among the unused real estate properties offered to investors, the largest number are social facilities – there are 78 of them. These are former kindergartens and schools. However, investors in the Vitebsk region have also successfully organised production facilities on the basis of former schools – sewing, woodworking, peat briquette production, and other areas.

 

Compared to last year, the number of real estate properties offered to investors has significantly increased, reaching 142 properties – 109 properties were offered last year.

The largest number of offered properties are located in Vitebsk – 15. These include former facilities of the KIM sewing factory on Gorky Street. On the same street, facilities of the former fruit and vegetable depot are also offered. Additionally, greenhouse facilities on the Starobabinovichsky tract, a repair workshop in 1st Keramzitovy Lane, buildings of the Vitebsk Housing and Communal Services Department on Leningradskaya Street, and others are offered.

A number of real estate properties are offered in the Gluboksky and Orshansky districts – 12 properties each.

A new list of industrial sites for the creation of new and expansion of existing production facilities has also been identified for investors. This list currently comprises 111 sites within the region.
