Vitebsk utility services have declared war on distributors of unauthorized advertisements, Denis Glutkin, head of the ideological work department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. According to him, the cleaning of infrastructure facilities from leaflets, posters and other outdoor advertising remains one of the pressing problems in maintaining the urban economy, as unscrupulous distributors of advertising, in pursuit of clients, ignore specially designated places, posting their offers literally everywhere: on fences, house walls, lampposts, public transport stops, etc. All this spoils the appearance of the city and also adds a significant amount of work for utility services. "Within the framework of the autumn month of sanitary cleaning, improvement and landscaping of the city of Vitebsk, which is taking place in the regional center in September, local authorities are taking additional measures to clean city facilities of unauthorized advertisements and bring to justice the guilty parties – legal entities and individuals acting as clients," Denis Glutkin emphasized, noting that identifying them is not difficult: the advertisement provides all the necessary contacts for this.
