From May 31 to June 7 of the current year, a set of additional measures to control residential premises registered with the Internal Affairs Department (IAD) is being carried out in the Lepel district. These measures are aimed at preventing unlawful behaviour of citizens, with the primary objective of engaging relevant departments to take additional steps to prevent offences against the life and health of citizens, particularly those committed in gathering places of socially deviant individuals. The measures also aim to enhance the effectiveness of preventing unlawful behaviour, implementing comprehensive individual prevention measures, and applying preventive influence to individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle and abusing alcohol.
Within the framework of this event, officers of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee, representatives of KUPP "Borovka", the Department for Emergency Situations of the Lepel District Executive Committee, as well as various organisations and public associations, will inform citizens about the legal norms in force in this area, assistance provided to victims of violence, the operation of helplines, and the importance of promptly informing the IAD about individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle.
The Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee regularly conducts comprehensive measures to prevent domestic violence, as well as to prevent offences and crimes committed under the influence of alcohol. To prevent serious crimes committed under the influence of alcohol, 13 citizens were sent to Therapeutic Labour Rehabilitation Centres (TLRC) in the first 5 months of this year, 12 of whom were unemployed. 35 medical commissions were held to decide on the referral of individuals suffering from alcohol dependence and committing administrative offences while intoxicated to TLRC.
If you have become a victim or witness of violence, do not wait for a tragedy! Act now! Also, if you have information about individuals leading a socially deviant lifestyle, please contact the Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee by phone 3 20 83, your local police inspector, or call the police at 102.
