24 August, Chashniki /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Following a monitoring of the work of local authorities, the Administration of the President of Belarus intends to propose a set of measures to improve the organisation of work with citizens' appeals. This was announced today to journalists by Valery Mitskevich, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Belarus, who was conducting a personal reception of citizens in Chashniki, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
Valery Mitskevich did not rule out that the measures could be of a legislative nature.
The monitoring of the work of local authorities with citizens' appeals, the third stage of which is currently underway in the country, has already shown its high effectiveness, Valery Mitskevich added. "It has shown that a sufficiently effective power vertical has been established in the country, which allows for the control of officials' work and competent resolution of people's problems," he said.-0-
