Due to the increase in fires and fatalities caused by them, from February 14 to February 21, 2025, a comprehensive set of special preventive measures called "House without Fire" will be held in the Lepel district. The main goal of these measures is to prevent fires and fatalities caused by them, as well as to increase public awareness in the field of fire safety.

During these days, large-scale fire prevention work will be organized in the housing stock to assess the safety of citizens' living conditions and to provide advisory assistance in bringing households into a fire-safe state.

During the comprehensive inspection of households, special attention will be paid to the condition of stove heating, gas and electrical equipment, and the presence and operability of autonomous fire detectors. All residents will be explained the consequences of non-compliance with fire safety rules in residential buildings and structures. Homeowners whose houses are found to have violations will be issued recommendations for their elimination.

In this regard, rescuers once again appeal to citizens: to avoid becoming victims of fire, it is better to carefully inspect your home, attics, and outbuildings once again. And, upon noticing any malfunctions, eliminate them immediately.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: do not be careless when handling fire, do not overload the electrical grid, unplug electrical appliances from the mains, and do not leave young children unattended at home. Remember, the safety of your life and property depends primarily on you.
