1 September, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The Vitebsk Cadet School complex needs to be developed. This opinion was expressed today by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, during his visit to the solemn ceremony marking the start of the new academic year at the Vitebsk Cadet School, a BELTA correspondent reports. "The training of any specialist begins at an early age: in kindergarten, then at school, and further on to a vocational or higher education institution. The Vitebsk Cadet School plays a special role in this process, aiming to raise highly moral individuals, patriots devoted to their Fatherland," emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. At the Vitebsk Cadet School, with the financial support of the Regional Executive Committee, a tennis court, volleyball and basketball courts, a gymnastic complex, and a hockey rink have been built. On the initiative of the Belarusian Football Federation, artificial turf was laid on the school stadium in 2008. Within the framework of the presidential program "Children of Belarus," a cultural and recreational center has been constructed, which includes an assembly hall for 300 seats, a sports hall, a swimming pool, two fitness rooms, and other auxiliary facilities. Currently, under the State Investment Program, the construction of a dormitory for 200 students with a catering unit is planned to commence here. The design and estimate documentation for the facility is already ready. Alexander Kosinets instructed to refine it so that the dormitory is designed for 300 children, which will allow for an increase in student enrollment in the future, and to complete the construction of a drill ground for cadets as soon as possible. "Students of this educational institution should pay more attention to physical, drill, and military training, and for this, a parachute tower and a shooting range are also necessary," added Alexander Kosinets. Their construction, as instructed by the governor, will be included in the development plan of the school complex.
