Confectionery enterprises of the Belgospischeprom concern plan to assemble nearly 1,970,000 sweet gifts for the New Year, which is 15.3% more than last year. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the department's press secretary, Elena Kravets.
"To date, the main part of the work has already been done - enterprises have produced about 1,580,000 sweet gifts. Their sale has begun. In particular, 880,000 New Year's gift sets have been sold on the domestic market, and another 45,000 have been exported," the press secretary said. According to her, this year the New Year's gifts from the concern's enterprises are expected in 24 countries. "We are constantly looking for new markets. Along with traditional markets such as Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, we are working with the USA, Canada, India, China and other countries. There were also supplies to Gabon (Africa) at one time," Elena Kravets noted.
As for the gifts themselves, every year enterprises try to please sweet-toothed people with something new. For example, this year, many gift sets from Kommunarka OJSC and Spartak SP OJSC will include toys in addition to sweets. The design of the gifts also corresponds to the symbol of the coming year - various sheep and lambs.
"Another pleasant gift for everyone is a total reduction in prices for confectionery factory products in their branded stores," Elena Kravets concluded.
