The best in Belarusian tourism will be selected in 6 nominations. For example, in the "I Discover Belarus" nomination, anyone can submit an application. Applicants need to send the maximum number of their photos against the background of Belarusian tourist sites. In this case, the participant's face must be clearly visible, and the site must be recognizable. Earlier, the National Tourism Agency posted a list of sites to visit on its website – castles, museums, churches, monasteries, estates, tourist complexes, factories, and much more. Photos must be taken from November 1, 2015, to October 31, 2016.
The best tour guide and tour operator of the year will be determined. It is also planned to select the best accommodation facilities (sub-nominations: accommodation facilities of high and medium price categories, hostels, sanatoriums, agro-estates), media outlets (sub-nominations: Internet, national, regional, print, television, radio), and projects of the year (sub-nominations: for the development of domestic and inbound, cultural, ecological tourism).
This year, 2 special awards have been established – "Transport Company of the Year" and "Person of the Year".
Local executive and administrative bodies, entities and objects of tourist activity, tourism projects (including event tourism events), media, tour guides and interpreter guides, as well as residents and guests of Belarus can participate in the competition.
An expert jury is invited to evaluate the participants – professionals from the tourism sector and specialists from other fields.
Applications are accepted until November 30. Application forms and participant evaluation criteria can be found on the website of the National Tourism Agency. The winners will be awarded in mid-December.
The organizer is the National Tourism Agency in conjunction with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus.
