The concept of roadside services until 2020 in Belarus was developed taking into account the opinions of travellers, as reported to journalists by the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Highways - Head of the Road Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Sergey Leonchik, according to a BELTA correspondent.
The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Trade are studying public opinion of road users on roadside services on republican highways in Belarus this year. Road users and owners of roadside service facilities are filling out questionnaires on the website of the Ministry of Trade, where they can provide comments and suggestions for simplifying the opening of roadside service facilities, and improving the operation of trade, catering, and household service facilities.
"We have analysed all of this and developed the concept of roadside services until 2020," said Sergey Leonchik. On behalf of the government, the Ministry of Transport is developing an action plan for its implementation. Interesting innovations in the field of roadside services, according to the ministry representative, can be expected as early as this year.
