Heads and employees of numerous organisations and enterprises, activists of public associations, labour veterans and simply residents of the town and district gladly responded to the invitation to attend the festive event.

The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Mikhail Kiselevich, addressed the wonderful women of Lepel district:

"This bright spring holiday symbolises the arrival of spring, beauty, love, joy and warmth. We say thank you to our mothers for the life they gave us. To our wives and daughters – for the happiness of being a husband and father. To our female colleagues – for their support and understanding," he said. "You fill our lives with special meaning, make them brighter. Your love and support help us through all life's challenges."

Representatives of various professions were presented with well-deserved awards today.

Words of congratulations were also heard from the stage today from Vasily Pshenko, Chairman of the district organisation of the public association of veterans.

Vasily Ivanovich also presented awards to the wonderful ladies.

After the solemn part, students and teachers of the Lepel Children's Art School shared musical colours titled "Happiness is Where You Are" with the audience.
