On September 7, Vitebsk /Sergey Kotov - BELTA/. More than 50 industrial enterprises, medical, educational and public organizations of Vitebsk will combine their potential in promoting health at the specialized exhibition-fair "Vitebsk Region - for a Healthy Lifestyle-2011", which will be held on September 14-16 in the regional center. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the regional center for hygiene, epidemiology and public health. The event of this theme is held for the fourth time; traditionally, the exhibition exposition provides an opportunity to get an idea of a wide range of products and services that promote a healthy lifestyle. One of the central events of the exhibition will be a concert-presentation of healthy eating and tasting of products, which will be conducted by manufacturers participating in the exposition, with the support of artistic groups of the region. In addition, the organizers plan to use the potential of open spaces around the "Vitebsk" concert hall to hold promotional events of various formats and entertainment and educational contests and quizzes. Traditionally, during the exhibition, medical institutions will introduce visitors to new technologies and modern approaches to the prevention and treatment of various diseases. Consultation points will be set up directly at the exhibition site, where visitors can seek advice from a cardiologist, pediatrician, endocrinologist, allergist, oncologist, dentist, and other specialists. Anyone can get a health passport by undergoing an examination right at the exhibition, as well as have an ECG recorded and their blood pressure measured. For the fair visitors, sanatorium-resort and tourist organizations will present the full range of services that promote health preservation. The main goal of the exhibition is to inform the public about all aspects of a healthy lifestyle and to promote a responsible approach to one's health. The format of the event allows for reaching a large number of people, drawing public attention to the problems of forming a healthy lifestyle and developing healthy behavior skills.
