On March 1, a festive service was held at the church in honour of the jubilee date.

The service was attended by numerous guests, as well as priests who had served in Lepel at different times and participated in the restoration of the shrine.

Father Vladimir Zayanchkovsky welcomed the priests, representatives of the authorities, and parishioners taking part in the celebration. He expressed gratitude to all who built and consecrated the church, through whose efforts the shrine is currently functioning. It is a place of faith and spirituality.

The solemn divine service in honour of the church's jubilee was led by Bishop Oleg Butkevich of Vitebsk, together with other priests. He addressed the parishioners with a kind and sincere sermon, explaining how a Christian should behave in the modern world. He urged them to turn to the Holy Scripture more often, cultivate the best spiritual qualities within themselves, and be merciful and attentive to their neighbours.

Warm words of congratulation were addressed to the parishioners by Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee:

— 150 years is a significant jubilee, filled with prayers, spiritual development, and good deeds, — noted Veronika Alexandrovna. — Over these years, the church has become not just a place for worship, but a true centre of spiritual life, culture, and mercy for many residents of our region. Your efforts in strengthening Christian values and preserving spiritual heritage are invaluable. May the church continue to serve as a source of comfort, support, and spiritual renewal for all who come here in search of peace and hope.

️ One of the most symbolic moments of the celebration was the consecration by Bishop Oleg Butkevich of Vitebsk of a copy of the famous engraving "The Return of the Prodigal Son," created by the renowned Lepel artist Alexander Savchenko.
