Anyone who visits the shops or catering facilities of the unitary enterprise "Polotsk-torg" on the eve of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays can buy them and become a little more merciful, the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee told a BELTA correspondent. As part of the republican campaign "Our Children", the enterprises of "Polotsk-torg" decided to help children with disabilities and are implementing the project "Kindness without Borders - Help Children with Disabilities". All funds received from the sale of "kindness coupons" will be used to purchase gifts for children, which will be handed over to them through the city association of parents of children with disabilities "Strumok". The coupons cost only Br5 thousand. According to preliminary information, more than a thousand have already been sold. As noted in the Trade Department of the Regional Executive Committee, "Polotsk-torg" is not the only communal trade enterprise that has become a participant in the republican campaign "Our Children". In Orsha, they took 55 large families under their New Year's patronage. They will be presented with sweets, fruits, as well as stationery and household appliances. In addition, trade enterprises provide sponsorship to schools, social shelters, and correctional and developmental training centers: they purchase furniture and pay for New Year's excursions for children. Private trading companies have not remained on the sidelines of good deeds. For example, in Novopolotsk, they provided support to the social and pedagogical center, the department for children with oncological diseases, the children's shelter, and the center for correctional and developmental training and rehabilitation. In Vitebsk, trade enterprises are organizing a New Year's celebration at the city social and pedagogical center, where 35 children are staying. They will be gifted winter shoes, toys, and underwear, and electrical appliances and household equipment will be purchased for the center itself. The initiator and coordinator of the charity event was the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. In many cities and districts of the Vitebsk region, the first pre-New Year charity events for children have already taken place. Throughout the New Year holidays, the focus will be on the pupils of boarding institutions: visits by officials, heads of enterprises and organizations are planned for each of them. In total, over 100,000 children will be covered by the "Our Children" campaign events in the Vitebsk region.-0-
