Rescuers and other city services will offer Vitebsk residents a chance to experience an evacuation during a university "fire," complete a safety quest, and win valuable prizes for winning it, as reported by the regional Department of Emergency Situations.

In Vitebsk, on the Unified Safety Day, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct a training evacuation of a thousand students from the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. The conditions will be close to real, and stage smoke will be used during the event. Rescuers will check how university staff are prepared for an emergency situation, how people flow is managed when leaving the "burning" building, and then will join the mass evacuation themselves.

In the evening, at 5:00 PM, guests and residents of the city are invited to Victory Square to participate in a large event organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the police, employees of the gas service, energy supervision, as well as representatives of public associations and other organizations of Vitebsk interested in citizen safety. Here, participants of the preventive campaign will be offered to complete a safety quest and cope with tasks that could save a person's life in real life. They will learn to provide first aid, call rescuers, and find a way to safety in an emergency situation in interactive locations and using simulators. The most agile and knowledgeable participant in all rules of conduct during an emergency will receive prizes from the event organizers and their partners.

Participants of the preventive campaign will have the opportunity to visit a special equipment exhibition, take cool photos against its background, and sit behind the wheel of impressive vehicles that clear the way on the roads when they rush to help people. Creative groups from the city will also present bright vocal and choreographic performances to the holiday guests.
