17 March, Minsk /BELTA/. The construction deadlines for the ice sports palace with a hall in Orsha have been extended until 2012, according to the decree. Previously, it was planned that the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee would complete its construction by 2011, reports a BELTA correspondent. The sports facility will include a hall designed for at least 3.5 thousand spectators, an ice arena, an entertainment centre, as well as engineering and transport infrastructure facilities. The palace features an elliptical metal structure and resembles a huge cylinder. The general contractor for the construction of the ice sports palace is OJSC "Stroitelny Trest No. 9, Vitebsk". The decree also provides for an increase in the amount of funds allocated by Belarusian Railways for the construction of the facility. Thus, if previously it was planned that Belarusian Railways would allocate at least Br50 billion, now it is no more than Br250 billion. Upon completion of construction, the ice sports palace will be transferred to the communal ownership of the city of Orsha.-0-
