As part of the republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention Everyone!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations held a preventive event on an open site with residents of the village of Novye Volosovichi.

During the campaign, rescuers reminded those present of the basic fire safety rules. The discussion covered the proper operation of gas installations, electrical equipment, and stoves. They recommended equipping their homes with autonomous fire alarms. The issue of careless handling of fire by citizens, including during smoking, was also addressed. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees reminded attendees of the potential consequences of the "cigarette + alcohol" combination and explained how to prevent fire hazardous situations while smoking.

Next, the villagers participated in a quiz, the aim of which was to recall fire safety rules through various contests and tasks. Attendees had to solve riddles, identify and correct all violations on a stove model, and also recall again what common household items in the kitchen can be used to extinguish burning oil in a frying pan.

At the end of the event, the citizens present received fire safety leaflets.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: a fire can be avoided by observing fire safety rules. Do not use faulty or dilapidated electrical wiring. When leaving home, turn off electrical appliances. Emergency service phone numbers are 101 and 112. The most effective means of detecting a fire in a dwelling is an autonomous fire alarm. This device will react to the slightest smoke and help save lives and property!
