Lepel. Emergency Situation – Training Exercise, Readiness – Serious
On October 12, tactical and special training exercises were held to prevent and eliminate emergencies at the State Enterprise for Additional Education "Zhemchuzhina" (Pearl).
According to the exercise scenario, a fire broke out in the boiler room building of the State Enterprise for Additional Education "Zhemchuzhina". Before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) units, the fire was initially extinguished by the fire brigade. Upon arrival of the MES units, rescuers assessed the situation, inspected all premises of the building, and organized the firefighting. The work was carried out within the gas and smoke protection service teams, with simultaneous application of extinguishing agents to combat the simulated fire. Thanks to the coordinated and swift actions of the MES employees and the staff of the "Zhemchuzhina" enterprise, the "fire" was promptly extinguished, and there were no casualties.
Issues of interaction between fire and rescue units and the management and maintenance personnel of the sanatorium were also practiced.
