As part of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety," young activists strive to provide as much assistance as possible to lonely and elderly citizens. And not only in word but also in deed. After all, due to their age, the older generation is not always able to cope with household chores.

As part of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety," young activists strive to provide as much assistance as possible to lonely and elderly citizens. And not only in word but also in deed. After all, due to their age, the older generation is not always able to cope with household chores.
Thus, today, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, who had a difficult life path as a tankman, needed help with cleaning his territory. Ivan Sergeevich Bas celebrated his 99th birthday this year. He met the war near Stalingrad, where his T-70 tank was set on fire by the enemy. Subsequently, for his merits, he was awarded the medal "For the Defence of Stalingrad." The help he needed was manageable – to clear the leaves in the yard and around the plot. But most of all, he needed the attention of the young people who came to visit the veteran.
The route then proceeded to Olga Andreevna, who, despite her age, still looks after her garden. Here, the rescuers, along with the young people, ploughed a small plot of land. For Olga Andreevna, this is difficult work, but the gratitude in her eyes for this help and how they shone with happiness is hard to convey in words.
Alexandra Alexandrovna also lives in a private house and also manages her small garden. The young people had to work a little here too and prepare the plot for wintering so that vegetables could be planted in the spring.
The activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Fire Rescuers, with open hearts and kind souls, helped the elderly people, wished them the most important thing – health, and promised to provide further assistance if necessary.
