Lepel prepares for the unified voting day

On February 20, early voting begins in Belarus for the elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation and local Councils of Deputies of the 29th convocation.

It will last for five days, until Saturday, February 24, inclusive. All these days, polling stations will be open from 12:00 to 19:00 without a lunch break.

How to find your polling station

A service for finding a polling station has been launched on the main page of the official website of the Central Election Commission. The section dedicated to the current election campaign provides the addresses and phone numbers of all territorial, district, and precinct election commissions.

In addition, on the Public Cadastral Map (accessible online at: map.nca.by), in the "Electoral Districts" subsection of the "Additional Layers" section, spatial layers have been created with the boundaries of electoral districts for the election of deputies to the House of Representatives, as well as information on the location and contact phone numbers of district election commissions.

What to bring

A ballot paper is issued to a voter based on the list of citizens eligible to participate in the elections, after presenting one of the following documents: a passport (or identification card) of a citizen of Belarus; a military ID (for conscripts); an official ID of an employee of a state body (organization); a driver's license; a pension certificate; a disability certificate (if it contains a photograph); a student ID; a student ID; a certificate from the internal affairs body confirming the identity of the citizen (in case of loss (theft) of a passport (identification card); a residence permit (biometric residence permit in the Republic of Belarus for a foreign citizen) - for citizens of Russia permanently residing in Belarus, when they participate in the elections of deputies to local Councils of Deputies.

How to vote

The voter will be invited to proceed to the secret ballot booth (room), where they will need to fill out the issued ballot papers. When voting, you must place any mark

(a tick or similar mark) in the box to the right of the candidate for whom the voter is voting. If the voter makes a mistake when filling out the ballot paper, they must contact a member of the election commission for a replacement ballot paper (this can only be done once). Upon receiving a clean ballot paper, the spoiled one is handed over to a member of the precinct commission and invalidated in the prescribed manner.
