As part of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety", Lepel rescuers, together with activists of the district branch of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers (BMOOSP), visited residential buildings inhabited by lonely and single elderly citizens.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees, along with young rescuers, provided feasible assistance to the categorised citizens in cleaning the adjacent territory, preparing firewood, and also conducted preventive discussions with homeowners on fire safety rules, paid attention to the fire safety condition of the households, explained the operating principle of autonomous fire detectors and the necessity of their installation in every living room.
As a keepsake, rescuers and the young people presented the residents with visual informational materials, as well as recommendations for reducing the risk of fire.
