On September 8, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Lepel will celebrate its 572nd anniversary on September 10, the BELTA correspondent was informed at the Lepel District Executive Committee. The City Day will be marked for the residents of Lepel and guests by a series of interesting events. Thus, the festive morning will begin with the opening of the sculpture "Lepel Citizen". The new resident of Lepel, made life-size and embodying the image of a villager, will be located on Freedom Square. Perhaps, stroking the piglet standing at his feet and rubbing the coin held in his hand will become a new good tradition for townspeople and tourists. Here, an exhibition of historical photographs of the city and enterprises, prepared from the museum's and organizations' collections, will also be opened. No less attention of the holiday participants will be attracted by exhibitions of compositions from vegetables and fruits, works by folk artists, as well as a demonstration of sports cars of the participants of the third stage of the Belarusian Jeep Trial Championship, which will open in Lepel on the same day. Everyone will be able to take part in creative and sports competitions, visit the hospitable farmsteads of rural councils, enjoy performances by creative groups of the district, or observe the work of folk craftswomen participating in the "Mother's Loom" competition. In the evening, a fireworks display will attract everyone's attention. Along with cultural and entertainment events, the holiday program includes an investment forum, which will be attended by all enterprises and organizations of the district. Thus, projects for the construction of a hotel in Lepel, the technical re-equipment of the local electromechanical plant, and the bottling of drinking water will be presented for consideration by potential investors. -0-
