With the aim of preventing road traffic accidents involving employees of the Department for Emergency Situations, as well as promoting road safety, the senior state traffic inspector of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, police lieutenant colonel Leschenok Valery Valerievich, addressed the assembled audience.

During this meeting, Valery Valerievich familiarised everyone with the amendments and additions to the traffic regulations that have come into force, presented statistics on road traffic accidents and fatalities, and reminded attendees about the importance of adhering to traffic rules, both for drivers and pedestrians. He also highlighted the highly relevant issue of the necessity of timely technical inspections and the administrative liability for their absence.

Next, representatives of the healthcare institution addressed the rescuers. Medical professionals spoke about the current epidemiological situation in the town and district, emphasizing that during the seasonal rise in acute respiratory infections, the risk of co-infection with COVID-19 and influenza, as well as other respiratory viruses, is very high.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the representatives answered all questions of interest to the audience, and all employees of the district department underwent influenza vaccination.
