Due to an increase in the number of fires and fatalities resulting from them in Lepel district, a fire prevention campaign is being held from September 16 to 20. Within the framework of this campaign, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), together with prevention entities, are conducting awareness-raising activities with citizens, inspecting their homes for fire safety.
Due to an increase in the number of fires and fatalities resulting from them in Lepel district, a fire prevention campaign is being held from September 16 to 20. Within the framework of this campaign, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), together with prevention entities, are conducting awareness-raising activities with citizens, inspecting their homes for fire safety.
The particular attention of rescuers is focused on population categories that, for various reasons, require specific attention: families raising minors, including large families and those recognised as being in a socially dangerous situation; disabled individuals, lonely and single elderly people; as well as citizens leading an anti-social lifestyle, including those prone to alcohol abuse.
During the preventive measures, MES employees pay attention to the living conditions of children and inquire about parents' work schedules to prevent the possibility of leaving young children unattended. During comprehensive inspections of households, special attention is also paid to the condition of stove heating, gas and electrical equipment, and the presence and functionality of autonomous fire alarms in living rooms.
MES employees remind each homeowner of the need to strictly adhere to fire safety requirements, and hand out preventive leaflets and recommendations for rectifying identified violations.
