About 90% of all fires occur in residential buildings, and the main causes of their occurrence are the carelessness of citizens themselves and their disregard for elementary fire safety rules.
In order to remind our citizens once again about the need for constant compliance with elementary fire safety rules, rescuers visited one of the shops in Lepel to conduct life safety events with customers.
During the event, rescuers reminded customers about the need to comply with fire safety rules, and elaborated on the main causes of fire emergencies. They recalled the emergency service numbers "101" and "112", and also stressed that any fire is easier to prevent in advance, and that an autonomous fire alarm device will help with this, which will not only wake a sleeping person but also alert neighbours to the impending danger, helping to save property.
Additionally, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees recommended installing the mobile application "MES Belarus. Help is Nearby" on their phones, which contains about 50 algorithms of actions in case of various emergencies.
In conclusion, all customers were given commemorative visual materials from the MES.
