Employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, together with interested prevention entities, are conducting preventive measures within the framework of the "For Safety Together" campaign, aimed at preventing fires and deaths from them. Regular raids to explain fire safety requirements to citizens took place in the territories of Horsky, Bobrovsky, Volosovichsky, and Staysky rural Soviets.

In the private sector, the risk of fires is higher compared to apartment buildings. Violations of safety rules when using a bathhouse or stove, and malfunctions of gas and electrical equipment can destroy a dwelling in a matter of minutes, leading to significant material losses. Socially vulnerable categories of the population, such as citizens living alone, single individuals, disabled people, large families, and citizens who abuse alcohol and lead an antisocial lifestyle, are under the close attention of the raid groups.

Overall, when visiting households, the raid groups paid close attention to the condition of heating equipment, the presence and operability of autonomous fire alarms, the condition of electrical wiring, and the general order within the dwelling and on the adjacent territory.

The shortcomings, and there were few of them, identified during the raids are rectifiable and will be eliminated by the homeowners in the shortest possible time. Those who are eligible will be assisted by the territorial center for social services for the population. It is important that careless owners develop not a sense of security, but a full responsibility for their home, and along with it, for their lives.

Taking into account the weather conditions, when communicating with citizens, the employees of the District Department for Emergency Situations focused on preventing fires in natural ecosystems, prohibiting the burning of dry vegetation, and tidying up adjacent territories.

Rescuers strongly urge the residents of the district to take the necessary measures to bring their households into a fire-safe condition.
