Residents of Lepel visited the exhibition "Belarus Intellectual"

For 3 days, residents of the Vitebsk region can see the achievements of Belarusian science at the football arena. A delegation from the Lepel district also set off to view the latest developments and advanced technologies in various spheres of life, as well as current achievements in science and technology.

It is worth noting that from the very first minutes of its opening, the queue of those wishing to see unique and interesting developments did not cease. Residents of the Vitebsk region came to see the advanced developments of Belarusian scientists with their families, work and study groups, and travelled from all corners of the region. Most interestingly, there were those who had already visited the exhibition in Minsk but decided to see the interesting projects again.

In Minsk, the exhibition was organised on the eve of Belarusian Science Day. The President emphasised that it should be familiarised with in the regions of the country, and especially by the youth.

For the convenience of visitors, the exhibition was divided into thematic blocks: artificial intelligence, IT technologies, robotics, innovative instrument engineering, electric transport, defence capability and military science. Ecology, nature management, biotechnology, pharmacy, healthcare, medicine, the agro-industrial complex, food, and the space of youth initiatives are also widely represented. A significant part of these developments has already been launched into real production and is being successfully implemented. It is important that the link between science and production is very close. In principle, this is how it should be. In the future, the developments of our scientists will be applicable in all sectors of the economy.

The Vitebsk region presented over 40 of its projects from more than 10 enterprises and organisations at the "Belarus Intellectual" exhibition. For example, the Vitebsk State Medical University and "Vityaz", the Vitebsk Plant of Electrical Measuring Instruments, the scientific and production firm "Dipol", "Resurskontrol", "E-POWER", "Spektr Upakovki Factory", "Belcarolin", "VIK - Animal Health", the confectionery factory "Vitba", BRSM, and others showcased their achievements. The presentation of Vitebsk region's achievements is an excellent idea by the organisers, as sometimes people do not know what is produced and manufactured in our region.

An outdoor area near the arena also featured mobile trade and catering facilities. All of this created a festive mood for the event participants, and also provided an opportunity to calmly examine the projects of interest in more detail.

“It’s good that the exhibition is organised in the regions, because not everyone could visit it in Minsk,” said Alexander Molchanov, Deputy Director for Ideological Work at KUPP “Borovka”. “We saw what our scientists are capable of. I must say that what we saw exceeded all expectations. We felt genuine pride in the scientific achievements and potential of our country. I was most interested in the stands that talked about growing plants in greenhouses, pipeline damage controllers, LED lighting, and electric vehicles.”

“It is important that schoolchildren and students were able to see the latest domestic developments from enterprises and organisations. Thanks to such events, young people develop a desire to learn new things and achieve high results in their studies. Today’s teenagers are the future of our country,” noted Victoria Pshonko, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Belarusian Youth Union (BRSM).

In conclusion, we would like to say that scientific achievements, when implemented in production, improve the quality of life and well-being of people, and contribute to the harmonious development of our society and state.

According to the exhibition organisers, the exposition sets a general direction for the continuous development of Belarusian science, intensive interaction between science, education, and production, increased implementation of scientific achievements in the real sector and socio-cultural sphere, and an enhanced positive impact on the quality of life and well-being of the Belarusian people.

“I believe the exhibition is unique. There were many diverse exhibits that truly proved that Belarusian science is not standing still, but moving forward with confident steps in various fields: medicine, agriculture, engineering, and others,” shared Svetlana Polyachenko, Head of the Economics Department.

“I really enjoy events that broaden one’s horizons. I was impressed by absolutely everything there. It was also pleasant that the guides presented their information to each visitor in an accessible, understandable, and meaningful way. I am filled with pride for our country, for the Belarusians who were able to invent and create such unique things!” said Elena Avtukh, a psychologist at the therapeutic department of the Lepel Central District Hospital polyclinic.
