A solemn ceremony was held at the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office to award the winners of the Vitebsk regional stage of the youth creative competition "Remember. Honour. Do not allow."
It was dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The competition received 215 entries, including 55 in the "Best Research" nomination, 42 in "Best Video Clip", and 118 in "Best Essay", from students of various regions of Vitebsk Oblast. Maksim Karusevich, an 11th-grade student of the Educational Institution "Borovaya Secondary School named after G.K. Zhukov", was awarded a Laureate Diploma for his research paper "The 'Fiery' Villages of Lepel Region".
The awards were presented by the Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region, Igor Ukrainets, who noted in his welcoming address that he felt pride for the youth who "are not indifferent to the fate of their country, research, analyse, and creatively contribute to preserving the memory of the heroism and feat of the Belarusian people."
