A resident of Lepel used violence against a bailiff: the court of Lepel district passed a sentence

On 20 August 2025, the court of Lepel District considered a criminal case against D., accused of committing a crime stipulated by Article 366 of the Criminal Code.

The court established that the accused D., while at her place of residence and being a person against whom enforcement actions were being carried out by a court bailiff, applied violence to obstruct his lawful activities, causing the court bailiff bodily harm and physical pain.

In the court hearing, the accused D. fully admitted her guilt in the committed crime and sincerely repented of her actions.

By the court's sentence:

the accused D. was found guilty of violence against an official performing official duties, with the aim of obstructing lawful activities, and on the basis of Article 366 of the Criminal Code, she was sentenced to restriction of liberty for a term of 1 year and 6 months without being sent to an open-type correctional institution.

Monetary compensation for moral damage in favour of the victim was recovered from the accused D.

The court's sentence has not been appealed or protested and has entered into legal force.
