In accordance with the Rules for the extraction, harvesting and (or) procurement of wild animals not classified as hunting or fishing objects, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 699 of 02.06.2006.

In accordance with the Rules for the extraction, harvesting and (or) procurement of wild animals not classified as hunting or fishing objects, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 699 of 02.06.2006. Citizens may extract narrow-clawed crayfish and striped crayfish for personal use. Crayfish extraction is permitted during daylight hours by hand and (or) using traps (crayfish traps). A crayfish trap is a tool for crayfish extraction, representing a mesh square (circle) with a diagonal (diameter) not exceeding 100 centimeters with bait attached in the center (an open-type lift net) or a trap (no more than 100 cm in length) with one or more (no more than 5) entrances with an inlet diameter not exceeding 70 centimeters (closed-type). It is permitted to extract up to 2.0 kg of narrow-clawed crayfish per day, and striped crayfish without restrictions.

It is prohibited to extract crayfish with a body length less than 10.5 cm (from the tip of the rostrum to the end of the telson); using more than 3 crayfish traps per person; leaving crayfish traps unattended; using lighting devices and (or) watercraft, as well as catching by hand during dark hours.
