In Lepel, a picturesque location, qualifying competitions were held – the Vitebsk Region Championship within the framework of the Youth Olympic Days for kayaking and canoeing. This day became a true celebration for water sports enthusiasts who gathered on the shore to support the athletes.

The participants set off on the calm water surface. Belyatsky Mikhail (junior single canoe and junior double canoe), Durko Angelina (junior double canoe), and Gritsenok Artemy (junior double canoe) demonstrated their skills and took 1st place in the 500-meter race.

Gritsenok Artemy (junior single canoe), Durko Angelina (junior double canoe), Belyatsky Mikhail, and Gritsenok Artemy (junior double canoe) finished first in the 200-meter race, showcasing outstanding abilities.

In the longer 1000-meter race, Kharkevich Ivan (senior junior single canoe), Belyatsky Mikhail, and Gritsenok Artemy (junior double canoe) showed their strength and took 1st place. Khatskevich Ivan and Kazachenko Alexander took 2nd place in the 500-meter race. In the short but intense 200-meter race, Belyatsky Mikhail and Azarenko Mikhail (single kayak) took 2nd place. Belyatsky Mikhail, Kazachenko Alexander, and Khatskevich Ivan (double canoe) took 2nd place in the 1000-meter race. Kazachenko Alexander and Azarenko Mikhail took 3rd place in the 500-meter race, Khatskevich Ivan and Kazachenko Alexander (double canoe) took 3rd place in the 200-meter race, and Gritsenok Artemy and Azarenko Mikhail took 3rd place in the 1000-meter race.

Now, our talented rowers are preparing for an important event – the Republic of Belarus Youth Olympic Days, which will be held from August 5th to 8th in the picturesque Zaslavl. The team representing the Vitebsk Region includes athletes from Lepel: Durko Angelina, Azarenko Mikhail, Khatskevich Ivan, Gritsenok Artemy, Kazachenko Alexander, and Belyatsky Mikhail.
