Red and green ties have been replaced by badges and tickets – this means the children have grown older and said goodbye to childhood. Now a series of new opportunities and achievements await them. Approximately 50 cheerful, purposeful, and proactive 8th-grade students from Lepel district have joined the ranks of the youth organisation BRSM. The solemn ceremony gathered schoolchildren at the district House of Culture.
It should be noted that the ceremony of farewell to the pioneer tie is a new form of interaction between the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organisation and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, with an emphasis on continuity.
This year, the event is particularly solemn, as the pioneer movement in Belarus celebrates its 35th anniversary. It is a vivid history of millions of destinies, thousands of good deeds, and true friendship. Today, the BRPO is one of the largest children's associations in the country, uniting over 600,000 children! A whole city of active, purposeful, and creative individuals. In Lepel district, over 2,000 children are involved in the pioneer movement.
Those who participated in the ceremony today included active pioneers and their educators, who for several years have been involved in the activities of the Lepel District Pioneer Organisation: actively working in their detachments, responsibly fulfilling pioneer assignments, and winning contests and projects. Activists were presented with awards.
The ceremony was conducted by Olga Yakubovich, Chairperson of the Lepel District Council of the public association "Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organisation". Many important words were spoken from the stage to the pioneers, reminding them of the role of the public association.
The most solemn moment was the farewell to the tie and joining the ranks of the BRSM.
On behalf of the youth association of Lepel region, Ekaterina Baranovskaya congratulated the newly admitted members of the public association "BRSM". She also reminded them that the country's largest youth association implements thousands of projects and campaigns that allow young people to discover their strengths and showcase their talents. Activists of the public association "BRSM" engage in volunteer activities, provide assistance to the elderly and children, participate in various civic and patriotic events, contests, and gain their first work experience in student teams.
