An entertainment program and a folk art concert awaited everyone in the city's central square. Father Frost the rescuer, his assistants Snegurochka, the Cheerful Fire Extinguisher, and young rescuers congratulated the city residents on the upcoming New Year, reminded both adults and children about the rules of safe behaviour when using pyrotechnic devices, and handed out "Safe New Year" leaflets along with sweets. A festive atmosphere reigned in the square, everyone danced and had fun, children readily recited New Year's poems to Father Frost and Snegurochka, and most importantly, through interaction with the New Year characters, they received necessary and useful information.
