Representatives of the Vitebsk City Organisation of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union" visited Lepel District.

This meeting symbolised unity and support, and also provided an opportunity for active women of the region to share experiences and ideas.

On the hospitable Lepel land, the initiative-taking women were welcomed by representatives of the Lepel District Organisation, led by Chairperson Veronika Khomback.

In a warm atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, pressing issues concerning the role of women in society and their contribution to the development of local communities were discussed.

During the solemn meeting, the guests presented memorable gifts.

One of the points in the programme for acquainting the representatives of the Belarusian Women's Union with the Lepel region was a visit to the district local history museum, where the meeting participants could learn about the rich cultural heritage of our area.

The museum's exhibits, reflecting the history and traditions of the Lepel district, aroused keen interest among the guests, who gladly shared their impressions and discussed the importance of preserving cultural values.

An equally significant moment for the representatives of the Vitebsk City Organisation of the NGO "Belarusian Women's Union" was the visit to military units located in the village of Borovka.

Here, a dialogue platform titled "Earthly Bow to You, Soldier of Victory" was held with the servicemen.

The guests spoke about the project "I am Proud of My Country's History," which they have been implementing for several years. Its aim is to preserve historical memory, foster civic and patriotic education of youth, and strengthen the traditions of intergenerational continuity within the family.

The project "I am Proud of My Country's History" is a unique dialogue platform of a civic and patriotic nature.

Within the framework of the project, two competitions are held among members of primary organisations: original poems on the theme "I Love Belarus" and unique essays (memoirs) with presentations titled "My Family's Destiny is in My Country's Destiny" about the participation of relatives in the liberation of our homeland from the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War and the restoration of the national economy after its end.

Participants in the project present this material at dialogue platforms and patriotic events, and conduct memory lessons.

The women not only met with the servicemen but also presented them with a treat – pies baked with love, and other sweets.

This gesture of kindness and attention has become a symbol of support and appreciation for those who serve in defence of the Motherland. In response, the servicemen expressed their gratitude and shared their impressions of their service.

This day has become a vivid example of how active women can unite their efforts to achieve common goals, support each other, and strengthen ties between different generations and spheres of life.

Care, support, warmth, sincerity, and female wisdom are what should form the basis of our actions. Festive events are not only an opportunity to please ourselves and our loved ones but also a chance to support those who need our attention and care. Each of us can contribute to the festive atmosphere, whether by participating in charity events or simply paying attention to those around us.
