Summer Patrol

With the aim of fostering a culture of life safety within society, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in conjunction with representatives from OSVOD (the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Rescue of People on Water), the Department of Internal Affairs, the State Forestry Institution "Lepel Forest Enterprise," and activists from the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the Belarusian Youth Public Association for Rescue and Emergency Situations, regularly conduct raid activities as part of the republican campaign "Summer Patrol." This campaign is another step in the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union concerning the promotion of life safety knowledge and the involvement of the younger generation in assisting emergency response bodies and units.

During patrols of forest areas and popular recreational spots on water bodies, discussions are held with vacationers regarding the inadmissibility of violating safety rules during swimming, leaving young children unattended even in shallow water, and safe behaviour in forests. This work will continue until the end of the summer season.
