The People's Artist of Russia shared his main life principle during the "Star Hour" - a traditional meeting of journalists with celebrities - participants of the international arts festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". "One must seek compromise, not go into conflict. Compromise is the most important thing in life," the artist believes. He came to this conclusion thanks to his profession. After all, an artist is a person who needs feedback from their audience. "Although conflict always rules art, such as theatre and cinema, estrada is the only art form that requires compromise - a compromise between the artist and the viewer," the maestro explained. Perhaps it is this wise outlook on life that allows Lev Valerianovich to have no enemies and to calmly treat the incorrect, and at times slanderous, attacks that sometimes appear in the media. "There is good, constructive press, and there is press that seeks other paths. An artist should not pay attention to such things. I myself would call such a journalist, talk to them, and I am sure the conflict would be resolved," he said.
