Offenders Brought to Justice

Over the ten months of the current year, the district inspectorate of natural resources and environmental protection conducted eleven inspections in accordance with the general coordination plan, and seven follow-up inspections. 22 monitoring surveys of publicly accessible areas were carried out. 77 offenders of environmental legislation were brought to administrative responsibility with the imposition of fines totalling 56 million 930 thousand rubles.

                  
              Monitoring of Economic Entities

The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for Lepel District conducted 22 monitoring surveys of economic entities' activities, and issued 24 recommendations for rectifying violations. The amount of taxes voluntarily paid as a result of the monitoring surveys amounted to 396.7 million rubles.

                Growing Number of Owners

  
The number of house owners in remote villages of the district, previously considered ownerless and gradually falling into disrepair, is increasing. Such an owner has appeared for one of the houses in the village of Savski Bor. The residential building has immediately acquired a well-maintained appearance. Roof repairs have been carried out, and the area around it has been tidied up.

At the postal service office of the agro-town of Bobrovo, they do not forget about their labour veterans, regularly visit them, and, as far as possible, help them solve life problems. For example, in the village of Zaruzhanye, there lives a postal service veteran, Roza Galay, to whom, if necessary, medicines purchased with her money at the local paramedic-midwife post are delivered along with postal correspondence.
