On August 30, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The personality of the teacher and their worldview should become a role model for students. This opinion was expressed in an interview with a BELTA correspondent by Lyudmila Sleptsova, Rector of the Institute for the Development of Education of the Vitebsk Region, who took part in the republican meeting of the teaching staff. According to her, the main idea of numerous speeches during the event was that the personality of the teacher and their development in modern conditions require the utmost attention, including raising their status in society. Probably, due to various objective reasons, these priorities have shifted recently. Thus, the institution of the class teacher has undergone a certain reorganization, and if this does not yield positive results, it may be advisable to return to the experience of previous years, increasing both the status and authority of the class teacher, noted Lyudmila Sleptsova. The class teacher should once again become a second mother to the students, and parents should also play a role in enhancing the authority of the class teacher. In the very near future, more attention should be paid to studying the history of the country, their native region and city, not only within the framework of the educational course "History of Belarus", but also much more broadly, in extracurricular time. Also, in the course of educational work today, it is required to find and apply such forms so that the feeling of patriotism is laid, as they say, genetically, and becomes the core of the personal characteristics of the younger generation. In this direction, it is necessary to more actively use individual forms of work with both the child and parents. "These forms are potentially capable of bringing greater effect than mass events, because when you look a child in the eye, you can and should 'get through'," is convinced Lyudmila Sleptsova. And here again, the personality of the teacher comes first. The exemplary nature of the teacher implies a personal behavioral example and inner conviction, emphasized the rector of the institute.
