Trolling is a method of fishing where bait or lure is towed using vessels, including those with engines.

Amateur fishing by trolling from vessels with engines, within the reserve fund of fishing grounds, is permitted in water bodies, the list of which is approved by the Decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated 31.05.2023 No. 298 "LIST of fishing grounds where underwater hunting and (or) trolling from vessels with engines is permitted, allowing the use of one lure or bait per angler, during daylight hours". This applies to anglers who are members of the republican state-public association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen".
Within the fishing grounds leased (used) for commercial fishing purposes during daylight hours, lessees may organize paid amateur fishing by trolling from vessels with engines. For information on organizing this type of amateur fishing, please contact the lessees of the fishing grounds directly.
