Air transport, due to its specific activities, is inherently a potential source of danger, and if its operations are interfered with by illegal aggressive actions, the potential danger becomes real with severe consequences.

Particularly inquisitive consumers began to seek applications for the toy through experiments. What will happen if you shine the beam into the eyes? Will the beam "reach" a flying airplane? Over the past few years, a huge number of "laser attacks" on aircraft have been registered worldwide. Specialists claim that even a sufficiently powerful laser pointer cannot cause fatal injuries to an aircraft pilot, however, if the laser beam hits the eye, it can lead to temporary or complete loss of vision. In addition, if the bright beam hits the cockpit glass, it can cause temporary loss of control of the aircraft, and as a consequence, a plane crash. and on the ground. Lasers are divided into 4 classes depending on the radiation power. The greatest threat and probability of blinding are posed by lasers of classes 3-4, with a power of 500 milliwatts and above, with a luminescence range of at least 5 km. However, even low-power lasers can pose a health hazard. A direct, reflected, or refracted laser beam must not be directed into the eyes under any circumstances – it can cause severe retinal damage, leading to partial or even complete vision loss. Unfortunately, not everyone understands the danger of such toys. Not only unreasonable teenagers but also adults enjoy having fun by directing the beam into another person's eyes, for example, football fans who "help" their favorite team in this way by "disabling" the opponent.

In our country, playing with laser pointers that can cause harm to others may be considered hooliganism, for which Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus provides for punishment up to imprisonment for a term of three to ten years. If someone is injured in the process, a criminal case may be initiated against the perpetrator under Article 147 – "Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm" (punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for a term of 4 to 15 years) or Article 149 – "Intentional infliction of less grievous bodily harm" (punishable by a fine, or correctional labour for up to 2 years, or arrest with or without a fine, or restriction of liberty for up to 5 years with or without a fine, or imprisonment for the same term with or without a fine, or imprisonment for a term of 1 year to 5 years).
