10 August, Minsk /Mikhail Sinkevich - BELTA/. The best investment projects of small businesses will receive state support. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.
Individual entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, and small enterprises are invited to participate in the competition. All small business entities must be registered and carry out economic activities in the Republic of Belarus. State support is provided in the form of financial resources on a repayable, compensated basis (loan) and in the form of property on a leasing basis (financial lease). The application submission period is from 1 to 31 August 2010.
The main criteria for the competitive selection of investment projects are the compliance of the investment project with the priority areas of the competition, the relevance and prospects of the project, its final result, the planned attraction of funds for the project implementation from other sources, the number of new jobs planned to be created and the justification for their creation.
The priority areas of the competition include the creation, development, and expansion of production of goods (works, services), the organisation, and development of production of export-oriented, import-substituting products, the production of products aimed at energy and resource conservation, and the implementation of new technologies.
To participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit an application in the prescribed form, a copy of the certificate of state registration, documents confirming the authority of the person acting on behalf of the small business entity, and a feasibility study of the investment project.
In addition, for legal entities, a balance sheet for the previous year and a balance sheet as of the last reporting date of the current year. For individual entrepreneurs, a certificate (or other document) from the tax authority on income received in the past year, a letter (certificate) from the bank about open accounts indicating persons with the right of first and second signature, the amount of debit and credit turnover for the last month, the presence of claims for unpaid bills, loans, and information on the provision of security for the repayment of the requested state support.
The organisation of the competition is carried out in order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 21 May 2009 "On Certain Measures of State Support for Small Businesses".
The Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs acts as the organiser of the competition.
