On October 10, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The best young ploughmen of the Vitebsk region will compete in professional skills from October 13 to 15, BELTA was informed by the Department for Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The competition will be held at the Vysokovskoye State Vocational Lyceum of Agricultural Production in the Orsha District. Its participants will be teams consisting of two leading agricultural workers and winners of similar district competitions aged up to 31, representing 21 districts of the region. In the competition for the title of the best, the machine operators will have to pass theoretical and practical exams. The theoretical part includes 100 questions related to drawing, materials science, locksmithing, agronomy, knowledge of agricultural machinery, its adjustment and maintenance, labor protection requirements, and traffic rules. Participants who answer only half of the questions correctly or less will be disqualified, as when performing practical tasks, they will have to demonstrate all their knowledge and skills to the jury in practice. Thus, on Belarus-3022DV and Belarus-1221 tractors with semi-mounted reversible ploughs, the machine operators will have to demonstrate their ability to prepare the ploughing unit for work and lay an ideal furrow. The names of the best ploughmen of the Vitebsk region will be announced on October 15. The competition is designed to promote the improvement of professional skills of young machine operators, the retention of personnel in rural areas, and the involvement of youth in the implementation of the state's agrarian policy. The event is organised by the Department for Youth Affairs, the Department of Education, and the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the regional trade union of agricultural workers. -0-
