Police teams from these regions became winners of the VII Republican review-competition for the title of "Best District Police Inspector" and "Best Juvenile Inspector", which was held in Mogilev from November 15 to 17, reports a BELTA correspondent. More than 40 representatives of district and juvenile inspection services from all regions of the country took part in it - the winners of regional and city qualifying rounds. In the review-competition among district inspectors, the team of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee took second place, and their Vitebsk colleagues won "silver" in the review-competition of the best juvenile inspectors. Brest police officers took third place in the competition among district inspectors, and the team from the Gomel region took third place in the results of the juvenile inspection competitions. Winners in the individual standings were also named. The Ministry of Internal Affairs established special prizes - cars for the best rural district inspector and for a juvenile inspector. The winners were Mikhail Nevdakh, a district police inspector of the Vitebsk District Department of Internal Affairs, and Vadim Terekhov, a juvenile inspector of the Mogilev District Department of Internal Affairs. As Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Yevgeny Poluden, noted today, summing up the results of the review-competition, the district inspector, as a rule, is judged by the entire police force. "We would like to see competent, intelligent people here who can help at any moment," the deputy minister noted. Holding competitions of professional skills among law enforcement officers also enhances the prestige of the service and provides an opportunity to assess the training of personnel in the regions, he added. -0-
